After connecting XBOX 360 with Media Center on Windows 7, more RAM is being used

I just bought my xbox 360 and connected windows media center from the xbox to the computer.
Now, the computer always consumes more ram for some reason even when the xbox is off.
Then, i disabled the xbox extender to see if that did anything but my ram
still gets consumed a lot.
I have a 64-bit HP pavilion with 6 gb ram DDR3, 640 gb hardrive and an Intel Core 2 Quad processor 2.67 ghz.

When my computer uses up it's ram it starts making a lot of noise so then I go to task manager and end this process: wmpnetwk.exe

then my ram consumption decreases to a manageble level.
However, when I started doing this, my ram consumption wen from 60% to 26%.
Now it goes from 75% to 40%.

So another issue is: what's going on with my computer???

I need help asap so I know what to do with this computer please
