creating, saving and printing a document in CMYK values

I am using Publisher 2010 and a xerox phaser 7760 printer.
I am not able to print colors accurately from Publisher.
Yesterday, I spoke to xerox tech support and they said that Publisher is changing the color values to RGB, therefore changing the color,
and that I need to save/create the document in CMYK.  In the print screen I only have the abibility to print RGB or composite grey scale.
Why can't I print the document in CMYK so the colors will print correctly on my machine and also so I can see how they
will print when I send them out to a printer.  I have changed the settings in the commercial printing tool to process spot but that does not help at all.
 I have struggled with color from Publisher for years using 2000, 2003 and now 2010.
Anyone who can help
me out there??

In this method we will try to Boot in Safe mode with Networking and see if the error still persists.

• Search "MSCONFIG" and Open.
• Click on Boot Tab
• Tick Safe Boot in Boot Option
• Select Network.
• Click Apply and OK.
• Reboot your System.
