My bro has a spreadsheet, with 3 columns containing dates of upcoming events.
ie
A                     B                                     C                                  D
abc             24 October 2011            16 January 2011              07 May 2012
xyz             24 October 2011            16 January 2011              07 May 2012

When he copies the sheet and pastes into a new sheet the dates change to
A                        B                                  C                                  D
abc            23 October 2007             15 January 2008              06 May 2008
xyz            23 October 2007             15 January 2008              06 May 2008

How mad is that!
I've even copied sheet using the sheet tab below, into new book, same thing.
Copied and Paste Value, same thing.
The Cels'l formating is " Date"
Please can someone explain this and how to resolve it.

In all likelyhood, one workbok uses the 1904 date system and the other uses the 1900 date system.
Excel dates are really just the number of days since some base date.
Normally, dates are measured from 1900.
However, for compatibility with Mac Excel, there
is a setting you can use to specifiy the 1904 date system.
Open the Excel Options screen and choose the Advanced page.
There, scroll down until you get to the "When calculating this workbook" section.
There, uncheck the "Use 1904 date system".
Do this for
both workbooks.

Using Windows troubleshooter:

Click on Search on Charm bar and type Troubleshooting. Click on the very first option.
A new window will open. Click View all from the left pane.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on Windows update.
Troubleshooter window for Windows update will pop up. Click on NEXT. It may ask you for administrative permission.
The troubleshooter will automatically detect problems and fix it.
Now, close this window and try download/install the app which was previously showing error.
