Audio Power-Management

Hi,

 I would like to know how to stop windows built in power management service from affecting the audio device in my computer.

 The audio device will cut-out when windows thinks it is not in use after a short amount of time, this would be fine except windows is unable to correctly guage when the device is unused, and all too often cuts out its use when it is being used.

 I have evidence that suggests directly that this is a power management issue.  If I choose different power management settings I am able to alleviate the problem somewhat, it takes longer to cut-out, but it will still cut-out.

 This is while using a device (Any device) attached to my audio card through the Line-in slot, it seems windows does not recognise this slot as being used when it is being used, therefor in order to play music through the line-in I have to leave a program running
in the background that uses audio.


 I would like to find a real solution, as opposed to tricking windows into thinking the card is in-use.

 I should add that I have already tried various driver combos, this current driver works better than any other, it just has this one issue that they all share.

Method 1: I would recommend you to use the correct resolution according to the resolution of the monitor that you have.

Method 2: I would also recommend you to update the video card drivers and check.

Manually editing the Windows registry
