During installation of Itunes, I have this error come up twice during installation.

After all installed the icons appear but after trying to open it gives another message stating Apple Application Support needed.

Try the following:
You need to install the security update’ Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update’ before installing iTunes on your computer.
Follow these steps before you proceed with the installation of ITunes.
1.
Download and install: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update

Also, make sure that you have downloaded the latest iTunes version.

Uninstall all iTunes software from Program and features before attempting a new install.
a)Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.
b)Select the program, and then click Uninstall.

Also, download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove all iTunes software: Clickhere to download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.You can use the utility to remove
installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer.
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer.
However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start
the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
Now run the utility ("Start > All programs > Windows Install Cleanup").
In the list of programs that appear in Cleanup, select any iTunes entries as well as QuickTime and Boujour, and click remove. Exit out of the Cleanup tool.
4.Reinstall all iTunes software and check if it works.

To check for Windows updates
- Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update.
