Hello,

I have successfully completed my recovery usb drives for drives/apps and for factory settings. I then thought the next step would be to establish an ongoing backup for my system. I went into the Acer Recovery Management app thinking that was where I should
go to do this.
And like an idiot, deleted what was on the computer and put whatever was deleted onto my backup drive. This morning, all that's on the backup drive are what appear to be boot files; I don't know if these files were successfully deleted off
the computer.

Before I reformat my backup drive and loose these boot files forever, can someone please tell me how can I check if the boot files are still on my computer?

I know, I was an idiot.
But at least I'm asking before proceeding further.
My computer is running fine right now, but I'm concerned there was a specific place for these files from which they could be extracted when need be.

Anyone's help/advice/whippings would be much appreciated.

Run CHKDSK

Go to the Start button.
In the Search box, type "cmd" (without quotes) and press Enter.
At the command prompt, type "chkdsk /r /f" (without quotes) and press Enter.
Reboot your computer.
