Hello.
Usually my Dell Inspiron run a back up every Sunday on an external hard-drive.
Now it doesn't back up any more and says it can't find the path.
When trying to reset "Windows Backup" it takes me to the first steps of chosing my external hard-drive
but then it gives me the message: request is not supported (0x80070032).
What can I do? Thank you for any help.

1.       Were there any changes made in the Computer prior to the issue?
 
I would suggest you to try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps:
Method 1:
Check if the services related to Back up and Restore are started when you are trying to do a back up of the files.

a.
Click on Start.
b.
In the Search box type Services.
c.
Right Click on - RUN AS ADMIN

These are the services that are required to be running when you are trying to perform a back up.

Task Scheduler Started Automatic
