Cell fill colors disappear - high contrast option is off

Hi:
The fill colors in the cells usually disappear when I add color to the cells, and then save and reopen the file (either immediately or the next day).
The high contrast option is off (Accessibility Options -> Display -> Use High Contrast).
The colors print before I close the file, but do not when I reopen the file.
Does anyone know of a cure for this problem?
I am using Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 on Windows XP Professional (version 2002 with SP3) running on a Dell E6400 with 3.48GB of memory.

Check if the issue occurs only with a specific file.
If this issue occurs with specific file only try repairing it.
