Troubleshoot:Desktop alone freezes intermittently

Desktop alone freezes intermittently

I have a Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit version.
My desktop screen (unable to click anything the desktop, but the Start menu and task bar work fine) does not respond intermittently.
I heard that it could be an issue with USB devices plugged in.
But I am unsure.
The
USB devices that I have are below:
1.
Belkin Wireless USB Network Adapter
2.
Microsoft Wireless keyboard
3.
Logitech USB Mouse
4.
Microsoft Lifecam VX3000
Please let me know if this is a known issue and if so how to fix it.

Step 1: You may try to uninstall third party desktop managers if you have installed any and check if it helps.

Step 3:If any of the above steps don’t resolve the issue, then you may creating a new user account and check if it helps:

If the issue gets fixed in a new user account, then it means that the previous profile was corrupted.
You can fix the corrupt user profile.
